About Myself.Hello, I'm Brodie I am 13 and live in AUS I have a few interests, but my favourite is Dirt bikes and Cars. Today I'm going to tell you about cars.
I'm interested in cars because there is a lot to know about cars, they really interest me as there are thousands of different types of vehicles. Some have really cool designs, I personally think they unlock freedom in your life. I love to research them, such as how much Horsepower they have or what engine they would have in them. I have a few favourite cars, and manufacturers but the manufacturer I love is DODGE! Dodge is one of the most popular muscle car manufacturers out there, especially in America. My favourite car that Dodge makes is probably the Dodge Demon. The Dodge Demon has a 6.2 Litre (total volume of cylinders) Hemi V8 engine that is supercharged, making a whopping 840 horsepower! |
As seen in the picture above, the yellow Ute is what I'm working on right now with my Dad. It is a 1977 FJ-45 That runs a 3.9 Litre OHV Inline (meaning in a line, overhead valves) 6 cyl. F engine with about 105-125 horsepower.
We just started out doing the main necessary things like doing some brake lines and also changing the coolant and sparkplugs so that it could run. It is really cool and means a lot to me that Dad and I can fix it and hopefully restore it to a brand new FJ45 and that would be the best!
Our next goal would probably be to fix all the engine parts and the under the bottom of the car, Then hopefully we would get body parts for the vehicle because the body is all rusty and falling to bits. Then we would paint it and we will finish our long journey of restoration.

How the Spitfire changed the outcome of World War 2
The aircraft that changed the outcome, is one of the most famous fighter aircraft in World War history. This was also known as the Supermarine Spitfire or Spitfire. The Spitfire was the aircraft that turned the tables.
The design of the Spitfire was very good for upgrading during the War, as it was adaptable, meaning design changes were easy, making it a successful fighter. This meant it kept up with its rivals. Throughout World War 2 there were 24 marks of aircraft made and 20,000 aircraft made. More Spitfires were built than any other RAF fighter aircraft since and before World War two. The version that fought in the battle of Britain was running a Rolls Royce Engine of a V12 with a 27-litre1030 horsepower motor, this was later called a Merlin Engine.
The Spitfire was VERY important in defeating Luftwaffe air attacks during the battle of Britain. It was also responsible for defeating German fighters while the hurricanes were told to go for the bombers. The maximum speed was about 580km faster than its opponent the German Messerschmitt Bf109 by 10km. The maximum altitude was ten thousand and 400 metres high while the Bf109 was around the same at ten thousand. The Spitfire was the main front line fighter in Word War 2, it was that great it was used for a couple of decades after the war, there are now 47 Spitfires left that are worthy of flight.
The Spitfire had 8 Browning machine guns, so was extremely useful in dogfights against other planes. Even though the Spitfire is English the Browning Company is American but manufactured in Belgium. The Spitfire is called its name as it is named after the daughter of the manufacturer's chairman. The Supermarine fighter has a recorded number of kills of 6338. The price of a Spitfire today would now cost around $4.5 million.
